The concept of circumcision has an important place in the culture of my country. Boys take the first step towards manhood as circumcision.An entertainment is organized for the child to be circumcised. This entertainment is called the circumcision wedding. This ceremony differs according to the family's place in the society and financial power.If the family is rich and powerful, the circumcision wedding will be so glorious.The place in the painting is the village where I spent my childhood and my grandfather's village house.Here I re-enacted a pre-wedding moment when the youngest child was riding a horse and the oldest child was shooting into the air before the guests arrived.In the village, circumcision weddings are usually held at night.Today, this village is abandoned and the houses are empty. This house of my grandfather in the painting was also partially destroyed in the Düzce earthquake on November 12, 1999 and became unusable.
